POLITEKNIK NEGERI JEMBER STUDENTS MAKE INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS AT HIM STUDENT TALENT 2024 EVENT

Another proud achievement was made by Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) students. Two Polije student teams won awards at the international HIM Student Talent 2024 event, an innovation competition organized by IFHIMA-SEAR (International Federation of Health Information Management Associations – South East Asia Region) in collaboration with educational institutions in Southeast Asia. The culmination of the competition took place at Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Bali, and was attended by participants from various countries.

The Harmony team, consisting of Dwianto, Brenda Rizky Tsania G., and Novita Shanty Wulandari, won the 1st Place Winner title with their mental health application innovation. Not only that, Polije also made another achievement through the Aesion Tech team, consisting of Ananda Yuliantika, Ikbar Sirajudin Zain, and Nadiva Dewiana Ahyadi, with their success in winning 3rd Place Winner.

The competition began on September 31, 2024 with online submissions. After a rigorous selection process, the finalists were announced on September 4. The finalists were then invited to attend the final round in Bali, where they presented their work in front of international judges. The jury consisted of experts from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Americas.

At the final event, participants not only presented their work but also had the opportunity to showcase it at an innovation exhibition. This moment became a place to share ideas and show the quality and excellence of innovation from each team.

The head of the Harmony team, Dwianto, revealed that his team’s work focuses on mental health, specifically depression. The Harmony app was designed with the philosophy that “life is pitched and rhythmic, so it is important for everyone to find harmony in their lives.”

“The Harmony app is equipped with 10 excellent features designed to help people in prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and promotion related to depression,” Dwianto explained.

This innovation not only prioritizes technological solutions but also raises important issues in modern society.

“This competition is a form of our dedication to Polije, and we are very grateful to be able to bring the good name of the campus to the international arena. Hopefully the Harmony team can continue to be successful, continue to work, and contribute even more in the future,” he said emotionally.

Meanwhile, the Aesion Tech team also made a great contribution with their innovative work, although they did not explain in detail about the project they raised. Their achievement of winning third place is still a matter of pride and clear evidence that Polije has extraordinary talents who are able to compete at the international level.  In closing, Dwianto gave a message to other Polije students to remain enthusiastic in studying and achieving.

“Don’t be afraid to try new things. The world of lectures is the right time to explore your potential and create useful innovations. Hopefully the younger siblings will remain enthusiastic and continue to strive to give their best,” he said.

This achievement is clear evidence that Polije students have the ability to compete at the international level. The victory of the Harmony and Aesion Tech teams at HIM Student Talent 2024 is expected to be an inspiration for the next generation.

With this achievement, Polije reaffirmed its position as one of the best vocational education institutions capable of producing outstanding and highly competitive young people in the global. (rda)
