Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) successfully hosted its highly anticipated Job Fair 2025, bringing together job seekers, alumni, and industry partners in a dynamic platform for career access and recruitment. The event took place on August 2, 2025, at the Joeang 45 Hall, drawing thousands of attendees and marking a milestone in vocational-industry collaboration.

A total of 20 companies—spanning sectors such as manufacturing, banking, telecommunications, retail, and creative industries—participated, collectively offering over 200 job openings. Renowned names like Informa, ASKO, Indosat, and Kapal Api joined the fair, enhancing its appeal and reach.

The event kicked off with remarks from Polije’s Vice Director for Student Affairs, who officially opened the fair alongside local government representatives and career development stakeholders. The ceremony underscored the collaborative spirit between the university, industry, and government in strengthening workforce readiness.

Among the 1,683 applicants recorded at the fair, approximately 63% were alumni, highlighting Polije’s strong alumni engagement and the job fair’s role in supporting career transitions. The remaining participants included fresh graduates and job seekers from the wider community, reflecting the event’s inclusive nature.

To complement recruitment activities, the fair featured career seminars, CV-writing workshops, and live walk-in interviews. These sessions provided participants with practical tips and confidence to navigate job applications and interviews effectively—whether they were alumni or newcomers to the job market.

The Head of Jember’s Manpower Office praised Polije’s initiative, noting that such events are instrumental in bridging the gap between education and employment. “This job fair provides a golden opportunity for job seekers to align their skills and interests with career opportunities,” she remarked, emphasizing its role in reducing unemployment and enhancing workforce quality.

Student organizers and campus leaders also played a key role in the fair’s success, ensuring smooth operations and assisting attendees. Their efforts showcased the vibrant synergy between institutional support and student involvement in delivering community-impactful initiatives.

Job Fair 2025 has emerged as a strategic annual event for Polije, reinforcing its commitment to empowering graduates and supporting Jember’s broader talent ecosystem. By bridging academic preparation with industry demand, the fair continues to strengthen employability and vocational pathways across the region.
