Three students from Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) proudly represented their campus at the national level by winning third place in the Digital Startup Sketch Business Innovation Poster Competition 2025. The team, composed of Galih Dwi Premasanam, Enrico Indra Budianto, and Wafiqotul Mabruroh from the Public Sector Accounting Program, succeeded in showcasing their digital business concept against tough competition.
The competition, organized by Universitas Malang, took place virtually via Zoom Meeting and attracted dozens of student teams from across Indonesia. Each team was challenged to design an innovative poster and present their startup ideas before the jury. The category required not only creativity in visual design but also clarity in concept and strong communication skills.
Polije’s team managed to capture the judges’ attention despite the tight timeline. Their presentation demonstrated both teamwork and innovation, qualities that have become increasingly important in today’s digital economy.
“The short deadline made us nervous, but we stayed focused, divided our tasks effectively, and gave our best effort. I was surprised and proud that it resulted in a top-three finish,” said team member Enrico Indra Budianto.
For Enrico and his teammates, the award was more than just recognition. It was an opportunity to sharpen discipline, creativity, and collaboration. He added that the experience inspired them to aim higher and prepare for future competitions, including those on the international stage.
The Startup Sketch 2025 competition itself plays a strategic role in preparing young innovators for global challenges. By combining entrepreneurship and technology, it encourages students to create business models that can address societal problems, an approach increasingly relevant in international startup ecosystems.
This success further strengthens Polije’s reputation as an institution committed to producing competitive graduates ready to face both national and international arenas. With achievements like these, Polije continues to build its identity as a hub for applied innovation in Indonesia and beyond.
Looking ahead, Galih, Enrico, and Wafiqotul hope their victory will encourage more Polije students to innovate and showcase their ideas globally. “Winning is just the first step,” Enrico concluded. “The real goal is to keep growing, competing, and making a positive impact at a wider level.”
