Two outstanding students from Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), Rahmad Era Sugiarto and Nathalia, proudly achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the bronze medal in the Sustainable Innovations Essay Competition 2025. Their achievement brought honor to the institution and reflected the global competitiveness of Polije students.
The competition, which gathered participants from various universities, focused on innovative ideas that contribute to solving real-world problems. Rahmad and Nathalia competed in the “Best Innovative Idea” category under the Health sub-theme, where their essay stood out among many other strong submissions. Their work was highly praised for its originality and practical relevance.
In their essay, the two students proposed a health innovation concept that integrates sustainable practices with community empowerment. The idea not only addressed current health challenges but also emphasized long-term impact, aligning with the principles of sustainability. This innovative approach made their work distinct in the eyes of the judges.
The collaboration between Rahmad, a student of the Computer Engineering program, and Nathalia, from the Health Promotion program, demonstrated the strength of interdisciplinary synergy. By combining technological insights with public health knowledge, they successfully created a holistic proposal that tackled health issues from multiple perspectives.
