Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) has received an electric bicycle grant from PT Wanway Indonesia Internasional as part of an effort to support environmentally friendly mobility on campus. The grant handover took place during an official meeting at the Asih Asah Asuh Building, Polije, on Thursday, 13th 2025.
The delegation from PT Wanway Indonesia Internasional, consisting of Peng Wang, Ardi, and Dizhifei, was warmly welcomed by the Vice Director for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems at Polije, Agung Wahyono, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D. In his speech, Agung Wahyono expressed his deep appreciation for the grant and emphasized that the electric bicycles would be utilized optimally for the benefit of the entire academic community at Polije.
“We sincerely thank PT Wanway Indonesia Internasional for this electric bicycle grant. This grant is highly valuable for Polije in realizing an eco-friendly and efficient campus in terms of mobility. These electric bicycles will become an integral part of our green transportation ecosystem,” said Agung Wahyono.
A representative from PT Wanway Indonesia Internasional, Peng Wang, stated that the grant represents the company’s commitment to supporting sustainable transportation innovation.
“We are very pleased to contribute to the development of Polije as a green campus. These electric bicycles are a gift in support of the eco-friendly campus vision, and we hope to continue collaborating in the future,” said Peng Wang.
During the event, the team from PT Wanway Indonesia Internasional was also given a campus tour to observe the designated routes for the electric bicycles. This initiative aligns with Polije’s commitment to implementing green technology and sustainable transportation for students and faculty members.
This collaboration is expected to be the beginning of a broader synergy between Polije and PT Wanway Indonesia Internasional, particularly in technological innovation and environmental sustainability. With this grant, Polije further strengthens its commitment to creating an educational environment that excels not only academically but also in sustainability and energy efficiency. (rda)
