Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) participated in the 2024 Taiwan INTENSE Program Education Exhibition, held at Graha Polinema, Politeknik Negeri Malang. This significant event, organized by the Directorate General of Vocational Education in collaboration with the International Talent Circulation Base (INTACT Base) of Taiwan, aimed to deepen dual/joint degree partnerships between Indonesian and Taiwanese vocational institutions.
Representing Polije at the event was Moch Siswanto, a staff member of the International Affairs Office (KUI). His participation underscores Polije’s commitment to fostering international collaborations and exploring opportunities for student and institutional development.
The exhibition provided a platform for Indonesian polytechnics to directly interact with representatives from Taiwanese universities. This initiative follows up on agreements reached during the Taiwan-Indonesia University Leaders’ Summit held in Bali earlier this month, focusing on academic cooperation and international industry talent development.
During the exhibition, Taiwanese universities showcased their programs, particularly the INTENSE Program, which offers dual/joint degree opportunities. These programs include financial support such as tuition waivers, living allowances, internships, and airfare for Indonesian students. This aligns with Polije’s strategic vision of producing globally competitive graduates through meaningful international partnerships.
Speaking about the event, Moch Siswanto emphasized its importance:
“This exhibition is a valuable opportunity for Polije to expand its global network and explore educational opportunities that will benefit both students and faculty. We are eager to strengthen our collaboration with Taiwanese institutions to enhance the quality of vocational education.”
The 2024 Taiwan INTENSE Program Education Exhibition exemplifies Polije’s proactive approach in leveraging global partnerships to create impactful educational opportunities for its community. By participating in such events, Polije continues to position itself as a leading institution in international vocational education. (rda)
