Polije Media Production Students Showcase Potential at Bondowoso Campus Screening

The Media Production Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) successfully hosted a film screening event at its Bondowoso Campus 2 on Wednesday (19/11). The event served as a platform for students to display their audio-visual projects and measure the quality of the production skills learned in class.

Wahyu Kurnia Dewanto, S.Kom., M.T., Vice Director of Student Affairs, highly appreciated the implementation of the activity. He noted that student works were already showing a strong form and potential, despite the study program still being in its early development phase.

“Screenings like this are vital to gauge student development. Even though it’s an early stage, their works are already taking shape and showing strong potential,” he stated.

Wahyu also highlighted the achievement of one student film that successfully qualified for a national-level competition. He cited this achievement as proof that students possess the capacity for continuous growth.

“One of the student works has already passed a national competition, and this proves that their quality is continuously improving,” Wahyu added.

Furthermore, he expressed his hope that film production activities would not only be limited to academic assignments, but could be developed into competitive works capable of vying in national or international arenas.

“Moving forward, I hope student works will not only serve as learning material but can also be competed at national and international levels,” he asserted.

He concluded by encouraging students to continue enhancing their production skills and maintaining consistency in their creative output, adding, “I look forward to the next achievements from the Media Production students.”
