POLIJE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT HOLDS OTO CONTEST SENO 2025, HIGHLIGHTING PANDALUNGAN MODIFICATION CULTURE

The Engineering Department of Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) once again brings innovation to the automotive world by organizing the Oto Contest with the theme “Developing Modified Culture in Pandalungan.” This event took place at GOR Joeang 45 Polije and was part of the Synergy in Energy and Automotive (SENO) 2025 series.

Oto Contest 2025 showcased various modified two-wheeled vehicles that were not only unique but also displayed high artistic and innovative value. Participants from different regions competed in several categories, including Category Class, Exhibition Class, The Best Meet Up, 2 King Contest, and 2 King Meet Up, attracting the attention of automotive enthusiasts.

This event served as a platform for modifiers to showcase their talent in designing and building aesthetically appealing vehicles with cutting-edge technology. More than just a competition, Oto Contest also became a space for automotive lovers—both students and the general public—to exchange knowledge and experiences.

The Head of the Polije Engineering Department, Mochammad Nuruddin, S.T., M.Si., highly appreciated the event, emphasizing that such competitions play a crucial role in fostering creativity and innovation among the younger generation.

“We are very proud of the enthusiasm shown by participants and the automotive community in this event. Oto Contest is not just a vehicle exhibition but also a platform for automotive enthusiasts to express their creative ideas. Furthermore, this event supports the development of a distinctive modification culture in Pandalungan,” he stated.

He also added that Polije remains committed to providing opportunities for students and the public to enhance their skills in engineering and automotive fields.

The theme “Developing Modified Culture in Pandalungan” was chosen to strengthen local cultural identity within the automotive world. Pandalungan represents the unique cultural blend of Javanese and Madurese traditions, which can be reflected in vehicle design details, color selections, and unique motifs featured in participants’ creations.

Additionally, the event featured various exciting sessions, such as an automotive exhibition, coaching clinics, and talk shows discussing the modification industry and the automotive sector in Indonesia. These activities provided participants with insights into the latest modification trends and potential future industrial opportunities.

Through SENO 2025, the Polije Engineering Department continues to create opportunities for students and the automotive community to collaborate and innovate in the fields of energy and automotive technology. It is hoped that this event will inspire more innovations, not only in vehicle modification but also in the development of **eco-friendly and sustainable automotive technology.

With the successful execution of Oto Contest 2025, Polije reaffirms its position as an educational institution that supports creativity and technological advancement, especially in engineering and automotive sectors. (rda)
