The 7th Agricultural Innovation and Technology Competition (AITeC), hosted by Jember State Polytechnic, has underscored its growing international reputation with the participation of a student delegation from China. Their involvement in the “Chicken Carcass Processing Technique” category signals the event’s expanding reach beyond Indonesia, establishing it as a significant platform for global agricultural exchange.
Cheng Nianlong, a student from Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College in China, was among the international competitors who demonstrated his skills at the event held in the GOR Perjuangan 45 hall. His presence highlighted the competition’s role in fostering cross-border learning and collaboration in agricultural science and technology.
In a statement, Cheng expressed his enthusiasm for the experience, emphasizing the competition’s value beyond just technical skill.
“I am thrilled to be here. This competition offers immense benefits, not only for honing our technical abilities but also for building mental fortitude, exchanging technological knowledge, and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among participants,” he shared.
Cheng also extended his gratitude to the organizers and his home institution for the opportunity.
“I would like to thank the competition leadership and our university officials for their support. This is a very meaningful opportunity, and I look forward to bringing many new insights back with me to China,” he added.
The participation of international students like Cheng solidifies AITeC’s position as more than just a contest; it is a vital arena for the exchange of ideas and innovation in the global agricultural sector. By attracting diverse talent, the competition is poised to strengthen its role as a key forum for international collaboration, driving progress towards sustainable agricultural practices worldwide.
