Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) proudly announces that four of its students have been officially accepted into the prestigious Exchange Program for the Fall 2025 semester at the Prefectural University of Hiroshima (PUH), Japan. This opportunity highlights the strength of the academic collaboration between Polije and PUH, while affirming Polije’s ongoing commitment to internationalization.
The confirmation was received through an official communication from PUH, which included the Letters of Acceptance in digital format for all accepted students. PUH expressed their enthusiasm to host Polije students and acknowledged the strong quality of the applicants submitted for the program.
The five selected students are Yoniva Nandarista Poma, Zaka Ainusshofa and Zainal Muttaqien Sulaiman from the Renewable Energy Engineering program, along with Aal Febriandoko, and Aditya Agus Prasetyo from the Agricultural Engineering program. These students were chosen based on their academic achievements, English proficiency, and motivation to engage in international academic and cultural experiences.
Their participation in this exchange program will not only strengthen their academic skills but also offer valuable international exposure, allowing them to immerse themselves in Japan’s advanced education system and diverse culture. Through this opportunity, students will broaden their perspectives and develop competencies needed for a globalized workforce.
According to PUH, the original Letters of Acceptance will be sent via EMS to Polije once the Certificates of Eligibility (CoE) are issued. The shipment is expected to take place between early and mid-August 2025. PUH has also requested the official English-language mailing address for document delivery.
The PUH Exchange Program is designed to foster cross-cultural understanding, academic enrichment, and professional development. For Polije students, this is a platform to grow beyond the classroom and gain hands-on international experience that supports their personal and academic aspirations.
Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., Vice Director of Planning, Collaboration, and Information System at POLIJE, expressed his appreciation, stating, “We truly value our partnership with PUH. This opportunity opens doors for our students to develop a global mindset and connect with peers from diverse backgrounds.”
Vigo Dewangga, S.S., M.Pd., Head of the International Office (KUI) at Polije, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This is a proud moment for us. These students have worked hard to earn this opportunity, and we are confident they will be excellent representatives of POLIJE. We hope this program will inspire more students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace international experiences. “
With this achievement, POLIJE continues to move forward in its mission to become a top-tier applied higher education institution in Asia by 2035, while empowering its students to become future-ready professionals through global education and collaboration. (rda)
