The educational exhibition, or Edu Fair, organized by the Counseling Teacher Association (MGBK) of Sampang Regency, was a lively and successful event. Held at Wijaya Kusuma Sports Hall (GOR), the event was attended by hundreds of high school (SMA), vocational school (SMK), and Islamic senior high school (MA) students from both public and private institutions across Sampang Regency. This event served as a crucial platform for students to gather information about higher education and plan their academic futures.
The enthusiasm of the students was evident as they eagerly interacted with representatives from various universities. They actively sought information on study programs, admission pathways, scholarships, and career prospects after graduation. Among the participating institutions was Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), which took part in the event to provide insights into the vocational education programs it offers.
According to Drs. Syaiful Bachri, M.M., Head of Polije’s Public Relations Service Team, the Edu Fair events in Madura Island have demonstrated a high level of interest from students.
“This is a very positive event, especially for students in Madura. Their motivation to pursue higher education is very strong, and we hope they can find the right place to continue their studies,” he said.
Syaiful further emphasized that Polije’s participation in this event was aimed at introducing vocational education, which focuses on hands-on training and technical skills.
“Polytechnics like Polije are designed to produce job-ready graduates. We want students in Sampang to understand that vocational education is an excellent choice to prepare for the workforce,” he explained.
Polije showcased several of its flagship programs, including Agribusiness, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering, which attracted significant interest from students. Additionally, the Polije team provided detailed information on various university admission pathways, including the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT).
This Edu Fair is expected to be an initial step for students in Sampang to strategically plan their educational future. Polije remains committed to supporting the development of vocational education in Indonesia, particularly in Madura, by producing *competent graduates who are ready to compete at both national and international levels.
Through collaboration and synergy, Polije hopes to establish stronger connections with schools in Sampang, encouraging more students to consider Polije as their higher education destination.
“We hope that through this event, more students in Sampang will become familiar with Polije and choose to join us,” Syaiful concluded.
This Edu Fair was not just a promotional event for universities but also a valuable opportunity for students to explore their educational options and prepare for higher education challenges. With high enthusiasm and dedication, Polije is ready to be a trusted partner in shaping a skilled and competitive young generation. (rda)
