The presence of international students from various countries at Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) has become a strong reflection of the institution’s growing global engagement and transformation toward becoming an independent and excellent polytechnic in the field of agrotechno-tropica with ASEAN competitiveness. Students from China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sudan, and Tanzania are currently part of POLIJE’s multicultural academic environment.
These students are enrolled under different international programs, including the Darmasiswa Scholarship, student exchange initiatives, and mobility collaborations with POLIJE’s overseas partners. Their presence adds a vibrant global perspective to campus life, promoting diversity, inclusivity, and international collaboration within the academic community.

According to the International Affairs Office (KUI), the growing number of international students is part of POLIJE’s strategic efforts to strengthen its internationalization programs. These students come from diverse academic backgrounds—ranging from agricultural technology and information systems to language and communication. Their integration into POLIJE’s academic ecosystem encourages mutual learning, helping local students develop intercultural communication skills and global awareness essential for 21st-century professionals.
POLIJE’s internationalization initiatives are supported by partnerships with global institutions, including Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, Jiangsu Agri Animal Husbandry Vocational College (China), and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan). These collaborations open pathways for academic exchanges, research cooperation, and dual-degree programs.
