Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) welcomed 129 twelfth-grade students from MAN 1 Situbondo for an immersive Campus Introduction Program designed to inspire future academic choices. The event at Polije’s Vocational Auditorium provided comprehensive insights into the institution’s diverse academic offerings and international opportunities, serving as a crucial orientation for prospective higher education candidates.
MAN 1 Situbondo Principal Sahiyanto emphasized the program’s significance in shaping student aspirations, stating, “This visit offers invaluable exposure to higher education pathways and motivates our students to pursue university studies.”
He expressed hope that the experience would inspire academic advancement among the participants.
Deputy Director Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., highlighted Polije’s distinctive teaching methodology, explaining, “As a Teaching Factory campus, we integrate real industry practices across all programs from dairy production to electric vehicle technology.”
He noted the institution’s national recognition and substantial scholarship allocations, with approximately 1,000 of 3,500 new students receiving financial support in 2025.
The campus introduction particularly emphasized Polije’s expanding international programs, including dual-degree opportunities and student exchange partnerships with universities in China, Japan, Malaysia, and Korea. These global initiatives provide students with cross-cultural academic experiences and enhanced career prospects in the international job market.
