POLIJE STUDENTS CONTINUE DAY 2 OF MOBILITY PROGRAM AT UiTM WITH ACADEMIC PRESENTATIONS AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The second day of the Student Mobility Program between Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) continued with a series of enriching academic and cultural activities that deepened the participants’ exposure to international learning and collaboration.

The day began with a tour of the Tun Abdul Razak Library, one of the key academic facilities at UiTM, where students were introduced to an extensive collection of resources and digital services that support teaching, learning, and research. The visit provided insight into the academic infrastructure available to UiTM students and encouraged POLIJE participants to explore comparative academic environments.

One of the highlights of the day was a presentation session delivered by POLIJE students. Each student had the opportunity to present topics related to their academic background, culture, and personal learning journey. The session served not only as a platform for public speaking and cross-cultural communication, but also as a way to showcase POLIJE’s academic quality to the UiTM academic community.

In the afternoon, the students returned to LG120 for another interactive classroom session. The academic discussions and collaborative learning activities further supported the program’s objectives of enhancing international academic competencies and cross-institutional engagement.

Later, students took part in the “Brisk Walk” program—a light physical activity designed to promote wellness while encouraging informal conversations between participants and local students. This activity fostered friendship and intercultural exchange in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

The day concluded with a shared dinner and informal discussions, allowing students to reflect on the day’s experiences before returning to the guesthouse for rest and preparation for the following day’s agenda.

The consistent combination of structured academic sessions and engaging social activities throughout the program plays a key role in shaping well-rounded participants who are not only academically competent, but also culturally adaptive and globally minded. It is through this holistic approach that the Student Mobility Program delivers long-lasting impact on both personal and institutional levels. (rda)
