Polije Student Wins Medal at National English Championship

A remarkable achievement has once again been earned by a student of Jember State Polytechnic (Polije). Wijayanti Pinasthi Nugroho Kadarman proudly secured a medal at the Indonesian Polytechnic English Championship (IPEC) II 2025, held at the campus of Manado State Polytechnic, North Sulawesi.

Wijayanti competed in the Essay Writing category, a branch that tests participants’ ability to write critically and systematically in English. This victory marked a special milestone, as it was the first time she brought home a medal at the national level.

“It’s hard to put my feelings into words. On one hand, I am happy because this is my first medal. At the same time, I feel deeply moved to realize that I could maximize my potential in an area I never expected writing essays in English,” Wijayanti shared.

Beyond her success, Wijayanti expressed her determination to continue improving.

“My hope is to further develop my English skills and join other competitions to gain more experience and challenge myself outside my comfort zone,” she added.

Her accomplishment demonstrates that Polije students are capable of excelling in national academic competitions. This achievement also reinforces Polije’s commitment to encouraging its students to embrace challenges, refine their talents, and achieve excellence across diverse fields.
