Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) PSDKU Nganjuk organized a Business and Digital School program under the theme “Use Technology in Business” on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Initiated by the Student Executive Board (BEM) – Ministry of Transportation, the event served as a platform to enhance students’ competencies in technology-driven business practices.
The program aimed to deepen students’ understanding of how digital tools can accelerate business growth in today’s competitive landscape. With industries worldwide rapidly adopting digital solutions, integrating technology into business strategies has become a key requirement for young professionals seeking to compete at the global level.
The event opened with remarks from Drs. Suyitno, M.M., head of Polije Campus 3 Nganjuk, followed by a message from Caesario Arya Narendo on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation, and concluded by organizing committee chair M. Wafiq Marzuq Yuwono. The strong presence of faculty members from the Informatics Engineering and Agribusiness Management programs underscored the institution’s commitment to advancing students’ entrepreneurial and digital skills.
Two keynote speakers delivered the main sessions. Hanief Iksa Putra highlighted the role of artificial intelligence and automation in modern commerce, citing the example of AI avatars in China generating millions of dollars through live-stream sales. Meanwhile, Ryan Rerandani emphasized the importance of digital innovation, noting that platforms like social media and e-commerce enable businesses to expand their reach, build credibility, and strengthen customer engagement.
The event, which concluded at 2:00 p.m. local time, was marked by enthusiasm and active participation from students. With full support from campus leadership, faculty, and expert speakers, the Business and Digital School program reinforced Polije’s vision to prepare graduates who are not only skilled in their fields but also capable of harnessing technology to thrive in the global digital economy.
