Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) participated in the Edu Fair organized by the Counseling Guidance Teachers Forum (MGBK) of Situbondo Regency. This event took place over two days, from February 10 to 11, 2025, at SMA Negeri 2 Situbondo and SMP Negeri 1 Subo.
In this event, Polije aimed to provide socialization and promotion of the various study programs available, as well as the campuses Polije has outside Jember. The objective was to give students insight into higher education options they can pursue after completing their secondary education.
The Head of Polije’s Public Relations Service Team, Drs. Syaiful Bachri, M.M., stated that the enthusiasm of the participants, consisting of high school, vocational school, and Islamic high school students from across Situbondo Regency, was very high. He added that many students were interested in continuing their education at Polije due to its geographical proximity to Jember.
“The enthusiasm of the participants is very high, especially because Jember is relatively close, making it an attractive option for them to pursue higher education,” said Syaiful Bachri.
In addition to introducing the available study programs, Polije also took this opportunity to promote its international class program. This program provides students with the chance to gain educational experiences with global standards while opening broader opportunities for international careers.
The international class program at Polije is designed to prepare students to compete globally by offering an English-based curriculum, collaboration with international institutions, and opportunities for student exchanges and internships abroad. By joining this program, students can enhance their academic competencies and gain valuable cross-cultural experiences that will benefit them in their future careers.
As part of the event, Polije also held interactive Q&A sessions where students could directly ask Polije representatives about various aspects of university life, including curriculum, facilities, and job prospects after graduation. These sessions aimed to help prospective students choose the right major that aligns with their interests and talents.
With Polije’s participation in the Edu Fair, it is hoped that more students will gain comprehensive information about higher education, enabling them to make the best decisions for their academic and professional futures. Furthermore, Polije aspires to reach more prospective students from various regions to join its excellent vocational education programs, which are industry-oriented and globally competitive. (rda)
