The Information Technology Department (JTI) of Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) successfully held a Motivational Talkshow featuring distinguished alumnus Arief Febrianto, S.E., AWP., who has built a successful professional career after graduating from Polije. The session, moderated by Ely Mulyadi, S.E., M.Kom., provided an inspiring atmosphere where students engaged directly with a role model from their own academic community.
During the talkshow, Arief shared his career journey after completing his studies at Polije, including the challenges he faced in starting a business and pursuing his professional path. He underlined the importance of resilience and the courage to take risks as key ingredients for success.
“Opportunities do not come twice. Students must be willing to try, be willing to fail, and keep learning in order to compete in the professional world. Never hesitate to take small chances, because they can become the doorway to bigger success,” he emphasized.
The event received enthusiastic attention from JTI students eager to draw inspiration from the story of an accomplished alumnus. His presence encouraged students to be more confident in navigating the competitive landscape of the digital era.
Head of the Information Technology Department, Hendra Yufit Riskiawan, S.Kom., M.Cs., explained that such programs are essential to bridge students with the professional world.
“Motivational talkshows with alumni are our way of delivering direct inspiration to students. This helps them see real examples of how Polije graduates can contribute to professional industries and bring value to society,” he stated.
Hendra further highlighted that alumni experiences serve as a vital link for students, ensuring they do not only rely on academic theory but are also prepared for the fast-changing dynamics of industry.
“We want our students to be equipped with both technical competencies and soft skills, so they can excel in the era of Industry 5.0,” he added.
Through this activity, JTI Polije once again reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young generations who are innovative, creative, and adaptive to technological development, while strengthening alumni ties with their alma mater.
The success of this motivational talkshow also reflects Polije’s broader vision of becoming an Excellent Polytechnic in Asia by 2035. By fostering strong alumni networks, encouraging knowledge-sharing, and integrating real-world professional insights into academic life, Polije continues to prepare graduates who are ready to compete not only at the national level but also globally. This effort underscores the institution’s dedication to advancing education, supporting the growth of human capital, and positioning Indonesia as a contributor in the international digital economy.
