Students from the 2022 batch of Politeknik Negeri Jember’s (Polije) International Class of Agricultural Technology (TKK), currently pursuing studies at Wuxi Institute of Technology (WXIT), have once again made a mark on the international stage. Two of their students achieved prestigious awards in prominent provincial-level competitions in Jiangsu, China, showcasing their talents and abilities.
The first triumph comes from Syahrul Alam, who earned 3rd place in the Mandarin Video Competition with the theme “The Beauty of Wuxi.” The competition, open to participants across Jiangsu Province, celebrated creative storytelling in Mandarin, highlighting the cultural and natural allure of Wuxi. Syahrul’s video impressed the judges with its compelling visuals, unique narrative approach, and his adept use of the Mandarin language, reflecting not only his artistic creativity but also his cultural understanding.
Adding to this success, Shamir Faizal Thalib won 3rd place in the highly competitive Jiangsu Provincial Essay Writing Competition. His essay stood out among numerous entries for its insightful content, strong argumentation, and polished writing style. The essay reflected his intellectual depth and ability to convey complex ideas effectively, demonstrating the high-quality education and global perspective nurtured at Polije.
These accomplishments highlight not just the individual excellence of Syahrul and Shamir but also the success of the strategic partnership between Polije and WXIT in fostering cross-cultural competence and academic excellence.
