Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) welcomed a delegation of students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Melaka Branch, Malaysia, at its Tefa Bakery & Coffee on Wednesday (October 22, 2025). This activity represents the tangible implementation of the international cooperation program between Polije and UiTM Malaysia, aiming to strengthen cultural and academic exchange.
Nur Aqilah Norwahi, Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Language Studies, UiTM Melaka Branch, expressed deep appreciation for Polije’s warm welcome.
“We are here as part of the International Program. This is part of the collaboration between Politeknik Negeri Jember and the UiTM Malacca Branch Malaysia,” Nur said enthusiastically.
Program participant, Ainuriz Sufiya binti Sahnnon, from the LG120 English for Professional Communication program, shared her positive experience during the visit. She expressed genuine pleasure in spending time with local and international students.
“So far, I am really enjoying my time here with the local students as well as the international students. I am truly feeling happy and excited to be here,” Ainuriz stated with enthusiasm.
Sri Santi Utami, S.St., M.ST., Manager of Tefa Bakery & Coffee Polije, explained the strategic role of the teaching factory in developing student competencies.
“Tefa Bakery and Coffee Polije is part of the Teaching Factory that functions as a student learning facility while also serving as a showcase for the development of student activities, both nationally and internationally,” Sri Santi clarified.
This visit not only strengthened the academic relationship between the two institutions but also opened opportunities for future student exchanges and research collaborations. Polije is committed to continuing the development of international cooperation as part of its vision to become a leading world-class polytechnic.
