As part of the effort to enhance international collaboration between Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) and Jiangsu Agri Animal Husbandry Vocational College (JSAHVC) China, Prof. Wang, accompanied by POLIJE lecturers, conducted a visit to Haida Company in Jiangsu, China. The visit was part of the ongoing 2+1+1 program, focusing on providing students with industrial exposure and practical learning experiences that align with their academic studies.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Haida’s management and representatives from JSAHVC. During the visit, Prof. Wang and the POLIJE team observed the company’s production facilities, quality management systems, and industrial training models. The discussion also explored internship opportunities and potential recruitment pathways for POLIJE graduates in Haida’s professional environment.
A focused dialogue was also held to synchronize curricula between POLIJE, JSAHVC, and Haida, ensuring that students receive balanced learning—combining theoretical knowledge on campus with hands-on industry practice. This alignment aims to produce globally competent graduates ready to contribute to the advancement of the modern livestock sector.
Haida’s management expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting collaborative initiatives with POLIJE. They emphasized the importance of technology-based training and knowledge transfer to improve efficiency and sustainability in the livestock industry.
For POLIJE, the visit served as a strategic step in expanding its international industry network. Lecturers from the Poultry Agribusiness Study Program actively participated in the discussion, exploring opportunities for applied research and professional development through joint training and exchange activities.
This activity also aligns with POLIJE’s vision to become a Leading Polytechnic in Agrotechnotropics with ASEAN Competitiveness, emphasizing the synergy between academia and industry as a foundation for producing adaptive and innovative professionals.
Through this visit to Haida, POLIJE not only strengthened the implementation of the 2+1+1 program but also opened broader opportunities for collaboration in applied research, international internships, and industry-based vocational education development.
