Jember State Polytechnic has launched an integrated tourism information system in Suco Village. This community program addresses promotion and management challenges in local tourism development. The initiative positions Suco as a model for digital tourism transformation in rural areas.
Suco Village boasts significant tourism potential including paragliding sites and educational farms. However, sustainable promotion and management remained key challenges. Village Head Taufiq Hidayat acknowledged these limitations in developing their tourism sector effectively.
The polytechnic team introduced an Internet+-based management and reservation system. This digital platform strengthens tourism governance through information technology. Training sessions were conducted both in the village and at Polije’s laboratory on August 20, 2025.
Team leader Khafidurrohman Agustianto emphasized the system’s broader potential. “We hope this system accelerates promotion and enhances regional tourism competitiveness through digital means,” he stated. The model supports global sustainable tourism goals through technology adaptation.
This program reinforces Polije’s role as an innovation catalyst in regional development. It demonstrates how vocational education can directly contribute to community economic growth through digital transformation in the tourism sector.
