A student from Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), Tedy Dharmawan, who is currently undertaking an internship at the Directorate General of Budget (DJA), had the valuable opportunity to take part in the Internal Consolidation of Work Team 3 Long-Term Output 2025–2029 on September 18, 2025. This strategic forum served as a platform to formulate the direction of DJA’s five-year work program.
During the event, Tedy was not only present as a participant but was also invited to present his study on the utilization of net asset increases in State Universities with Legal Entity (PTNBH). His study highlighted how these assets could be optimized by the state as part of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) under KND Others.
A positive response came from the Team Leader, Sarjono, who considered the presentation highly relevant to the needs of the long-term roadmap.
“The study presented is very much in line with the direction of long-term policy. It has even been included in the draft roadmap for 2025–2026,” said Sarjono in his remarks.
For Tedy, the experience became more than just an academic exercise, as it was directly applied in a real policy-making setting.
“I presented my study on PTNBH net assets and received positive feedback from the team leader. Knowing that my work was included in the draft roadmap was truly motivating,” Tedy explained.
He also expressed that the forum provided valuable lessons, particularly in building confidence and understanding how policies are formulated within the government.
“I feel very fortunate to join this forum. It gave me a deeper understanding of how policies are designed and trained me to think more critically while presenting ideas in a professional setting,” Tedy added.
This active participation demonstrates how DJA provides a wide learning space for interns, encouraging them not only to observe but also to contribute to policy discussions. For Tedy, the opportunity has become a milestone in strengthening both his academic insight and practical experience in the field of public finance.
