Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting technology-driven micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). In collaboration with Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema), a joint research team successfully implemented the BIMA Grant Program from Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) at Banijo Farm, Malang Regency. The initiative focused on introducing goat manure pulverizing technology and digitalizing business management.
Representing Polije, Qonitatul Hasanah and her team provided hands-on training in operating the pulverizing machine, maintenance procedures, and standard operating practices (SOP) for production. The impact was immediate: production capacity doubled from 50 kg/hour with 1.5 months of fermentation to more than 100 kg/hour with fermentation reduced to just two weeks.
Beyond improving production efficiency, the program also introduced digital financial management. Banijo Farm now operates with an integrated accounting system connected to Telegram bots and a dedicated website, enabling automatic income and expense recording. The system ensures that financial data remains transparent, accountable, and accessible in multiple formats.
Hasanah emphasized Polije’s role in delivering practical solutions for MSMEs. “We want to prove that simple technology combined with digitalization can significantly improve efficiency and professionalism. Polije is ready to become a strategic partner for MSMEs to grow stronger and more competitive,” she said.
The program has already shown tangible results, from reducing agricultural waste to professionalizing administration and expanding market reach through digital marketplaces. With these advancements, Banijo Farm is not only improving its sustainability but also setting an example for other MSMEs. Polije’s involvement reaffirms its mission as an applied, solution-oriented vocational institution that remains closely connected to community needs.
