Polije Student Wins First Place in Manual Brew V60 at the 2025 Nusantara Coffee and Tobacco Festival in Bondowoso

A remarkable achievement was recorded by a student of Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) as M. Farhan Inas Ramzy, from the Coffee Plantation Management Study Program, claimed First Place in the Manual Brew V60 competition at the prestigious 2025 Nusantara Coffee and Tobacco Festival held in Bondowoso.

This victory highlights not only the student’s outstanding skills in coffee brewing but also reinforces Polije’s role as a center of excellence in coffee education in Indonesia.

Coordinator of the Coffee Plantation Management Study Program, Sepdian Luri Asmono, expressed his appreciation for this achievement.

“This accomplishment is not only a source of pride for Polije but also a testament to our students’ competence in mastering manual brew techniques. Inas’ success will inspire other students to innovate and strive for excellence in the field of coffee,” he said.

Sepdian emphasized that competitions such as Manual Brew V60 are essential for students to explore the diverse flavor profiles of Indonesian coffee while showcasing its quality on a national stage.

“Coffee is not merely a commodity, but also an art. Through manual brewing, students can connect more deeply with the unique character of Indonesian coffee and contribute to enhancing its global competitiveness,” he added.

The success of Inas in Bondowoso is expected to encourage more Polije students to participate in national and international competitions. It also strengthens Polije’s reputation as an institution committed to producing young talents who excel in coffee, agribusiness, and sustainable innovation.
