
Wuxi University of Technology (WXUT) proudly hosted a graduation ceremony for international students from Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE), Indonesia, marking the completion of their academic journey under the collaborative international class program. The event celebrated the achievements of students from the International Class of Computer Engineering, Department of Information Technology, POLIJE, who studied under a 1-year in Indonesia and 2-year in China education system.
The ceremony was attended by university leaders, faculty members, and staff from WXUT. Although no representatives from POLIJE were physically present at the event, they joined the celebration through a hybrid system via video conference, showing their full support and appreciation virtually for the students’ accomplishments.
Twelve students from POLIJE were awarded their diplomas after completing the final two years of their studies at WXUT. The graduates are: Ali Syarief, Shamir Faizal Thalib, Ahyar Nur Alif, Alif Abdaul Karim, Syahrul Alam, Keane Kent, Shofi Ainur Mukminah, Adrian Solehudin, Rose Vania Adriyanti, M. Albanus Fahrezi, Monang Mangata Tampubolon, and Ismadian Kurniawan.
The international class program is designed to equip students with advanced technical skills and a global academic experience. After completing one year of foundational study at POLIJE, students continued their education for two years at WXUT, immersing themselves in a cross-cultural learning environment and accessing state-of-the-art technological resources.
In his remarks, a WXUT representative congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of international collaboration in cultivating globally competitive professionals. He also acknowledged the successful academic cooperation between WXUT and POLIJE, which has produced a strong cohort of competent and internationally-minded graduates.
POLIJE’s leadership, although attending remotely, delivered congratulatory messages and expressed their gratitude to WXUT for providing the students with a supportive academic and cultural environment. They also conveyed pride in the students’ persistence and success in completing the program abroad.
This ceremony marked not only the academic achievements of the graduates but also the continued strengthening of bilateral ties in vocational higher education between Indonesia and China. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to advancing educational partnerships, especially in applied technology and innovation.
The graduates expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to study in China and reflected on how the experience enriched their academic capabilities, independence, and global perspectives. Many shared plans to pursue further education or professional careers in the tech sector both in Indonesia and internationally.
As they return to their homeland or explore global career paths, these graduates bring with them not only technical expertise but also the intercultural awareness and confidence needed to become leaders in Computer Engineering and Information Technology in a globalized world. (rda)
