THREE POLIJE IT LECTURERS PARTICIPATE IN NDPKD PROGRAM AT HUMBER COLLEGE, CANADA

Three esteemed lecturers from the Department of Information Technology at Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), Bety Etikasari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Husin, S.Kom., M.MT., and Pramuditha Shinta Dewi Puspitasari, S.Kom., M.Kom., were selected to participate in the National Development Program for Knowledge and Development (NDPKD). This prestigious program, initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, was held at the Longo Faculty of Business, Humber College, Toronto, Canada. 

The NDPKD program focuses on Mobile Development in Digital Marketing, equipping participants with advanced skills and insights into the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The program emphasizes practical applications of mobile technology to enhance digital marketing strategies, aligning with global trends and technological advancements. 

During the program, the lecturers engaged in a variety of activities, including: Workshops led by industry experts to explore innovative mobile development frameworks and tools. Collaborative projects with international participants, fostering a cross-cultural exchange of knowledge and ideas.  Industry site visits, providing exposure to real-world applications of digital marketing strategies in leading businesses. 

This international exposure empowers the lecturers to bring back valuable insights to Polije, enhancing curriculum development and integrating global best practices into the institution’s academic framework. 

Bety Etikasari, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “This program has been a transformative experience, broadening our perspectives on integrating technology into education and industry practices. We are eager to apply these learnings to benefit Polije and our students.”

The NDPKD program also aligns with Indonesia’s vision to develop globally competitive educators and institutions, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities presented by Industry 4.0 and the digital economy. 

The participation of Polije’s lecturers in this program underscores the institution’s commitment to international collaboration and continuous improvement. It is a significant step towards positioning Polije as a leading polytechnic in Indonesia with a global outlook.
