Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) proudly participated in the prestigious *Taiwan-Indonesia University Leaders’ Summit on International Industry Talents* held at Widya Padma Hall, Politeknik Negeri Bali. The event, hosted by the Directorate General of Vocational Education in collaboration with INTACT Base (International Talent Circulation Base, Taiwan-Indonesia), aimed to strengthen partnerships between Indonesian and Taiwanese universities, focusing on international industry talent development.

Representing Polije were *Vice Director IV for Cooperation, Dr. Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., and **Vigo Dewangga*, Head of the Office of International Affairs (KUI). Their presence emphasized Polije’s commitment to advancing global collaborations in education and creating opportunities for its students.

The summit brought together leaders from 20 Taiwanese universities and vocational institutions across Indonesia to explore academic and industrial collaboration. A key highlight was the introduction of Taiwan’s *double-degree scholarship program*, which offers Indonesian students full financial support, including tuition fees, living allowances, internships, and round-trip airfare. This initiative aligns with Polije’s mission to provide students with globally competitive skills and experiences.

During the event, Dr. Agung Wahyono expressed Polije’s enthusiasm for this collaboration:

“This summit is a significant milestone for Indonesian vocational education. By participating, Polije demonstrates its commitment to creating pathways for students to excel in international industries through robust academic partnerships.”

The event also featured presentations and discussions on joint degree regulations, industry-academia collaboration, and career development for double-degree program students. An MoU signing ceremony further solidified the partnership between Taiwan and Indonesia, paving the way for more intensive cooperation in the years to come.

Polije’s active participation in the summit underscores its vision to become a leading vocational institution with global reach. The collaboration with Taiwan is expected to enhance the quality of education, foster student mobility, and prepare graduates for global industry demands.

This landmark event serves as a testament to Polije’s dedication to internationalization, ensuring that its students and faculty continue to thrive in an interconnected and competitive world. (rda)
