Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) sent a representative, Moch Siswanto from the International Affairs Office, to attend a Coordination Meeting organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Kemenko PMK) of the Republic of Indonesia. The meeting, aimed at discussing the development of cooperation between Indonesian polytechnics and Chinese vocational education institutions and industries, was held on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024.
The event took place at Hotel Santika Premiere Slipi, Jakarta, and brought together representatives from various institutions to explore potential collaborations in advancing vocational education in Indonesia. The meeting addressed key strategies to strengthen partnerships and align vocational education with industry needs, with a special focus on Chinese educational and industrial models.
Moch Siswanto’s participation in the event underscored Polije’s commitment to building international networks and enhancing cooperation with global partners to improve educational quality and expand student opportunities.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Warsito, S.Si., DEA., Ph.D., Acting Deputy for the Coordination of Improvement of Education Quality and Religious Moderation, and was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from vocational institutions and policymakers. During the event, various collaboration models and best practices were discussed, aiming to bridge the gap between educational programs and industrial demands.
This initiative aligns with Polije’s mission to create an internationally competitive environment by actively engaging in partnerships with international institutions and industries. (rda)
