POLITEKNIK NEGERI JEMBER (POLIJE) INITIATES COOPERATION WITH DAIWATECH, CO., LTD., JAPAN

Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) held a cooperation initiation with a renewable energy company from Japan, Daiwatech, Co., Ltd. This activity took place on Thursday (9/26) in Room G1 of the Engineering Department, Polije. This cooperation aims to strengthen collaboration in the field of renewable energy, especially related to the use of solar panels and the development of environmentally friendly technology.

President Director of Daiwatech, Co., Ltd. Oka Tadashi, who also attended the event, appreciated the enthusiasm of Polije students.

“I think there was a great discussion among the students today. Daiwatech is expanding not only to Japan, but also to ASEAN, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We realize that global human resources will be very important in the future. The discussion with Polije students today is very positive and shows that the younger generation in Indonesia is ready to welcome global opportunities,” said Oka Tadashi.

Furthermore, Oka Tadashi emphasized the importance of thinking about the global future, especially regarding the environment.

“We want Daiwatech to continue to grow as a company that focuses on renewable energy solutions, and we look forward to the support and collaboration of educational institutions such as Polije.”

In his speech, Polije’s Deputy Director for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Agung Wahyono, S.P., M.SI., Ph.D., explained that this cooperation is very relevant to the Renewable Energy Engineering study program at Polije.

“Daiwatech, Co., Ltd. is a company engaged in renewable energy, especially the production of solar panels. This collaboration opens up great opportunities for our students, both in terms of research and internship and career opportunities,” said Agung.

Agung Wahyono also said that this collaboration can support research that has been carried out by lecturers at Polije, especially in the field of renewable energy.

“In the Renewable Energy Engineering department, the lecturers have done a lot of research, such as the development of electric cars powered by solar panels. This is in line with Daiwatech’s vision in creating environmentally friendly energy solutions,” he said.

During the discussion session, Polije students actively asked about job and internship opportunities at Daiwatech.

“The response of the students was very positive, they asked if there were opportunities for internships or work at Daiwatech. Currently, we are discussing further forms of cooperation, be it in the form of internships, recruitment, or research collaboration,” Agung added.

The cooperation is expected to not only focus on internships or recruitment, but also on broader business development and joint research in the future.

“Hopefully, this cooperation will open up opportunities for both parties to develop together, especially in the increasingly important field of renewable energy in the future,” Agung concluded. (rda)
