IISMA 2024 SERIES UPDATE: POLIJE STUDENTS GOES TO SAXION UNIVERSITY, THE NETHERLANDS

August 22nd, 2024, Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) made an achievement in the international field through the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program. One of Polije’s best students, Tri Widya Yuriandini, has left for the Netherlands to study for one semester at Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

Tri Widya Yuriandini, who is a student of the Public Policy Accounting Study Program, Business Department, was successfully selected as one of the IISMA participants after passing a rigorous selection at the national level. The IISMA program itself is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia that provides opportunities for students from all over Indonesia to study at leading universities abroad.

Tri Widya Yuriandini’s departure along with other students from various universities in Indonesia marks a big step in the development of global competence. At Saxion University, Tri Widya will follow various courses that are in accordance with her field of study and could expand her international network and gain valuable experience in a different academic environment.

On this occasion, Tri Widya Yuriandini expressed her gratitude and thanks to all those who have supported her, especially her family, lecturers, and Polije who have provided full guidance and support.

“I am Tri Widya Yuriandini is currently enrolled in the prestigious IISMA program at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where I am pursuing a major in International Finance and Accounting. This program not only deepens my academic foundation in global finance but also provides me with international exposure and practical insights into the financial industry.”, said Tri Widya.

The Director of Polije, in his remarks before departure, also gave a message to the students who took part in the IISMA program so that they could make the most of this opportunity and continue to maintain the good name of the almamater in the international arena.

With high enthusiasm and dedication, it is hoped that Tri Widya Yuriandini can bring valuable knowledge and experience gained in the Netherlands for the progress of Polije and Indonesia in the future. (rda)
