Jember, August 26, 2024 – Vice Director of Collaboration Affair of Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., attended the China-ASEAN Cooperation Week 2024 held in China. This week-long activity is an important forum for ASEAN countries and China to strengthen cooperative relations in various fields, including education, technology, and culture.
The presence of Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., in the event is a representation of Polije’s commitment to expanding international networks and developing strategic cooperation with higher education institutions and industries in the ASEAN region and China. During the event, Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., was scheduled to participate in several panel discussions that discussed issues related to educational innovation, research collaboration, and opportunities for cooperation in the industrial sector.
On this occasion, Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., also met with representatives from leading universities in China to discuss the possibility of cooperation in the fields of student exchange, joint research programs, and industry-based curriculum development. Polije sees China-ASEAN Cooperation Week 2024 as a strategic platform to strengthen Polije’s position in the international arena and improve the quality of education and research at the institution.
“This visit is an important step for Polije to establish closer cooperation with partners in the Asian region. We hope to bring home various cooperation opportunities that can provide great benefits for Polije and also for students and lecturers,” said Agung Wahyono, Ph.D.
China-ASEAN Cooperation Week 2024 was attended by hundreds of delegates from ASEAN countries and China, including education leaders, industry professionals, and policy makers. The event served as a platform for participants to share knowledge, experiences, and build mutually beneficial relationships in facing global challenges.
