The event, held at Adipoday Hall, featured 43 private universities and 13 public universities, including Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije).

This event aimed to broaden students’ perspectives on higher education. Sri Hidayati, Chairperson of MGBK Sumenep Regency, emphasized that the Edu Fair serves as an essential platform for students to understand their higher education options.

“Through this event, we hope students gain a clear picture of university life, encouraging them to pursue further studies,” said Sri Hidayati.

Sumenep Regent Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo, represented by Abdul Madjid, Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs at the Regional Secretariat, expressed appreciation for the event’s success. He highlighted that Sumenep Edu Fair provides a golden opportunity for students to obtain valuable information about universities, including various scholarship opportunities.

“We hope that through this event, there will be no more reasons for students not to continue their education. Nowadays, many scholarship programs are available,” stated Abdul Madjid.

He also shared a moral message, encouraging students to always uphold ethics and morality in their behavior, both towards parents and teachers.

“Hopefully, this event will continue to grow, inspiring more students to pursue higher education and achieve a brighter future,” he added.

Meanwhile, Drs. Syaiful Bachri, M.M., Head of Polije’s Public Relations Service Team, explained that Polije’s participation aimed to introduce vocational education to students in Sumenep Regency. He noted that the cultural similarities between Sumenep and Jember make Polije an attractive option for local students.

“We want to introduce vocational education to students in Sumenep. Given the cultural similarities between Sumenep and Jember, we hope more students will be interested in continuing their studies at Polije,” said Syaiful Bachri.

The Sumenep Edu Fair 2025 was not only an informative event but also a source of motivation for students to pursue their dreams through higher education.
